File UploadsVersion 1.1.23

File Uploads

Single File Upload and Multiple File Upload attach supporting files to a record.

Photo element

Photo accepts JPG, JPEG and PNG images up to 3MB. It uses encrypted Single Upload storage and appears inline in records, reports and generated PDF files. CSV exports use the text Photo attached instead of embedding the image, keeping the export compact and compatible with Excel.

Supported files

Each file must be PDF, JPEG, PNG, Microsoft Word (DOC/DOCX) or Microsoft Excel (XLS/XLSX) and must not exceed 3MB. Multiple File Upload can store a caption with each uploaded item.

Encrypted storage

Every uploaded file is individually encrypted using authenticated AES-256-GCM encryption without TAR or GZIP overhead. Files are decrypted only through the authenticated preview or download endpoint. When a record or dataset is permanently deleted from the Recycle Bin, its unreferenced uploaded files are also removed from the server.

Encrypted record text

When saving a record, users can select Encrypt text in this record. The application then encrypts all Textbox, Textarea and Email values in that record, including Child Data. Encrypted text is excluded from record search. QUIIX_FILE_ENCRYPTION_KEY must remain unchanged so saved values can be decrypted.

Plan and ownership

Free accounts can use Single File Upload for up to 100 files and 100 MB of total storage. Multiple File Upload requires Pro or above. Files added by a shared user use the Dataset owner's file and storage allowances.

Preview

Images and PDFs can be previewed from the record. A password-protected PDF may request its password from the viewer.
