Dataset Elements
Elements define the information a record can accept, display and analyse.
| Element | Purpose |

| Textbox | Short text such as names, titles, codes and references. |
| Text Area | Long notes and descriptions. Set the starting height, allow resizing and optionally enable the Quill rich-text toolbar. |
| Element Descriptive Label | Use Add Desc Label on an element to add formatted guidance with Quill. It is stored as the element preamble and does not create a separate element or record value. |
| Number | Whole or decimal numeric values for quantities and measurements. |
| Amount | Currency values with the configured currency label. |
| Yes / No | A clear binary response suitable for filtering and Insights. |
| Date | A calendar date. One Date element may also be marked for year and month filtering. |
| Time | A time value for schedules, sessions and operational records. |
| An email address with appropriate input validation. | |
| URL Link | A clickable web or in-app link. |
| Preset Dropdown | A searchable single- or multiple-choice list tied to the Dataset. Multiple selection uses checkboxes. |
| Link to Own Dataset | Connect a record to identifying Textbox or Email values in any Dataset you own, whether it is Global or inside any Container. Free accounts can use up to 10 active link elements across the account; paid plans are unlimited. |
| Likert Scale | Custom integer values and captions displayed as inline radio choices for surveys and feedback. |
| ToDo Task | A list of actions added one at a time, tracked and completed from My Task. |
| Single File Upload | Attach one supported file to a record. |
| Photo | Attach one JPG, JPEG or PNG image (maximum 3MB). The encrypted image appears inline in record views, reports and generated PDFs. |
| Multiple File Upload | Attach several supported files to one element. |
| Child Data | Repeatable rows inside a record, useful for line items, visits and detailed sub-records. |
| Inner Data | Discontinued for new structures. Existing stored data is retained for legacy safety. |
| Segment | Group related elements under a collapsible heading. It may start collapsed or expanded. |
