Dataset Guide
Create and manage datasets
A dataset is the core container in Quiix. It has a name, an optional description, and a set of elements that define what each record should collect.
Create a new dataset
- Open Create Set.
- Enter the dataset name.
- Add an optional description so users understand the purpose.
- Build the element structure.
- Save the dataset.
Structure design notes
- Choose clear labels so reports remain readable later.
- Use dropdown or yes/no fields when you need grouping or analytics.
- Use numeric or amount-style fields when totals matter.
- Keep the field list focused to reduce entry errors.
Owner actions
| Action | Available to owner |
|---|---|
| Edit metadata | Yes |
| Edit structure | Yes |
| Duplicate dataset | Yes |
| Delete dataset | Yes |
| Share dataset | Yes |
Important current direction
Likert scale has been intentionally removed from the standard dataset element list for now. A dedicated survey-specific flow can be introduced later as a separate data survey concept.
Good naming examples
- Community Event Registration
- Public Service Feedback
