Create a Preset Dropdown
A Preset Dropdown provides a controlled, searchable option list for one Dataset.
Manage from Dataset View
Open Dropdowns to create, search, edit or remove lists belonging to the Dataset.
Single or multiple
Allow one selection or use checkboxes for multiple selections.
Optional sorting
Sort options alphabetically when the displayed order should remain predictable.
Practical tip
Use stable option labels. Existing records store option IDs so labels can be maintained consistently.
During record entry
- Search appears inside the dropdown menu.
- The Dataset owner may allow a shared user to add new options.
- An unselected dropdown remains empty in the saved record.
